Pride goeth before the fall.....

I was so proud of myself for posting last week's homework on the Friday before. Little did I know there was a glich somewhere and the listing never posted. My apologies! The kids did remarkably well considering no homework was posted. I didn't even know there was a problem until today (Thursday!) I guess they're more independent than I thought!

Anyway, here, I promise is the homework for May 4- 8.

Monday - Please write the following vocabulary words in descriptive sentences.
  • surface – the outside part of something – noun
  • spacecraft – a vehicle for traveling into space – noun
  • lunar – relating to the moon – adjective
  • visible – able to be seen - adjective
  • footprint – a mark made by a foot – noun
  • discovered – found or learned for the first time - verb

Tuesday - Please read the Weekly Reader called, The Buzz about Honey, and complete the activity on the back page.

Wednesday - Please practice reading from a book you'd like to share with the class. Remember, we'd like to hear you read from a book you can read fluently.

Thursday - Please write the following spelling words three times each.

regular: camp, wagon, cave, gift, cent, gym, face, gem, girl, germ
review: knot, wrist frequency: against, true, half

Friday - Please read the rubric (description of requirements) for our recycling project.

Thank you to those of you who complimented us on our recent publication, All about the Earth. That project was a very big deal for us and we're proud of the result!
