Welcome Back!

Homework for Feb. 23-27

Monday ~ Please write your vocabulary words in descriptive sentences.
  • itches – tickling feeling in the skin that make one want to scratch ~ noun
  • puddles – small pools of water, especially rainwater ~ noun
  • preen – to smooth or clean feathers with the beak or bill ~ verb
  • beasts – animals other than humans ~ noun
  • handy – useful ~ adjective
  • nibble – to bite gently or to take small bites ~ verb
Tuesday ~ Please write a Star Student letter to Alex. Include at least five sentences telling him what you know and appreciate about him.

Wednesday ~ Read a book to share in class.

Thursday ~ write your spelling words three times each

Friday ~ Please write your goal for March. Remember a goal is something you'd like to do which makes you a better person. We will hang these in the hallway for everyone to read!

I'd like to thank all the families who sent in items for Valentine's Day. We were keeping it "low key" around here, but it sure was nice (and unexpected!) to receive goodies that afternoon!

We've started a new classroom library program. Each student is able to check out one classroom book at a time from my personal library. Please ask your child about their book choice and have them read to you as often as possible. I am so appreciative of your support!
