More Snow Today?

I thought this storm was going to miss us! Oh, well, here are the homework assignments for March 2-6:

Monday: Please write these vocabulary words in descriptive sentences. I sure like it when you write about something connected to you!
  • wider ~ larger from side to side, broader (adj)
  • saddest ~ most unhappy (adj)
  • balance ~ to be steady and stable (noun)
  • deserted ~ left empty or alone (adj)
  • freezes ~ changes from liquid to solid (verb)
  • imagine ~ to create a picture in your mind, pretend (verb)
Tuesday: Please write a Star Student letter to Cody Payne! Include five sentences telling him what you admire and appreciate about him.

Wedesday: Read a book to share in class. These book reports are going very well. We all enjoy learning about our friends' favorite topics.

Thursday: Please do the spelling page I will hand out later in the week. In the meantime, here are this week's words.....
regular: clerk, term, herd, skirt, sir, stir, churn, burst, hurt, turn
review: shark, storm frequency: hours, problem, usually

Friday: TBA ~ Special recognition to Alex, Austin, and Nate; the only students who did last Friday's March goal assignment before I asked for it Monday morning. Thanks, guys!

Have a great week!
Mrs. Lanie Groff
